Becoming a parent is a blessing and living a new life together with your little one can bring out the best in you. If you are a first-time parent, you will learn a bunch of things about life and even discover traits you don’t know you possess.

It is indeed magical when all things come out naturally without you even noticing it, that is what parenthood can bring to your life.

However, parenting and everything about it can also bring out the worst in you.

All the tireless and endless tasks like changing clothes and diapers, feeding them, putting them to sleep, and many others will definitely test your patience.

It will even come to a point when you will be pushed to the edge of your seat. But don’t consider it a burden, look at it as a challenge to improve yourself as a responsible parent instead.

Consider yourself lucky if you are a parent and you have a partner, a husband, or a wife to team-up with you in doing all the parenting.

Imagine all of these tasks being done by a single parent, a single mom at that. With what seems to be an unending series of chores at home, you might even end up being unable to take care of yourself, wouldn’t you agree?

That’s a sad fact but our mighty moms can weather any storm.

They wouldn’t mind if it’s been a while since the last time they were able to put make-up on their faces. They wouldn’t mind skipping meals just to attend to their baby’s needs.

They are just so ready to dedicate everything, even their own needs and wants just to be able to be the best parent to their child.

They will feel tired, burned out, physically and emotionally drained, mentally exhausted, and many other things but they will never falter. They will sacrifice everything and go beyond 100%!

Nobody can understand a mom’s struggle other than another mom.

In a Facebook post of a mom named Briar McQueen, she shared a very beautiful encounter that she had one morning when she decided to have breakfast together with her then eight week old son named Jaxon.

In that post, she wrote:

“Just wanted to share this really sweet moment I had this morning. Today was the first time I went out for breakfast alone with my 8 week old son, I had just received my breakfast and hot chocolate when Jaxon started crying wanting his booby so of course I fed him, after a few minutes this older lady walked up to me, I was scared, thinking she was gonna tell me to put my boob away, instead she starts cutting up my breakfast for me and said “what a good mama you are, we can’t have your food getting cold can we”. I honestly could have cried😍😢 loveliest lady EVER!!”

Isn’t that sweet? In the cruel world that we live in today, there are still good people out there, ready to put on a smile on our faces.

This proves that humanity still exists and it’s just a matter of time before you experience it yourself.

Breastfeeding in public was and is still an on-going discussion and always a hot topic in debates. While for moms, feeding their child is just a natural thing to do, it’s just that there are people who look at it as an inappropriate thing to do in a public place.

A Facebook user named Tracy Owenby shared her thoughts about the importance of breastfeeding. In the comment section of McQueen’s post, she wrote:

“Our society has gotten so lost in what is right and what is wrong. Breastfeeding is right! Shunning someone for feeding their child in the most natural way is wrong. I am so glad this sweet lady helped you!”

We are glad that someone has finally spoken. We hope that McQueen’s encounter with this sweet old lady will inspire more people to help whenever help is needed, not only to single moms but to everyone.
