There are many ways to lose weight. And if this is your goal, you should know that the food you eat has a huge effect on your aim.

If you’re willing to cut calories and eat healthy food, then you might achieve your ideal weight. Of course, don’t forget the importance of regular exercise, too.

We have to be more careful with the food that we eat.

It turns out that there are deceiving ‘health’ foods. We thought that they beneficial for us but are actually “worst” for weight loss according to experts.

1. Keto Ice Cream

According to Eat This, Not That, keto ice cream has high fat and calorie content – which is not ideal if you’re trying to lose weight. It may be low in carbs but reducing your calorie intake is an effective way to lose weight according to Chron.

2. Gluten-Free Bread

Gluten-free bread is actually not recommended if you’re losing weight. According to Active, gluten-free bread is usually “higher in calories, fat, and sugar and lower in fiber”.

3. Fast Food Salads

Many people rely on salad when they want to be healthier and to reduce weight. But if there are healthy salads there are also ones that are not that good.

If you’ve tried fast-food or restaurant salads, you know that they are tasty and there’s no doubt about that. It’s just that they tend to have high calories, saturated fat, and sodium.

4. Dried Fruits

Dried fruits are undoubtedly healthy. But you can’t really expect that it would help you a lot if you want to lose weight. It’s because it has a high content of sugar and calories.

When we just buy our food from restaurants or stores, we can’t really be sure about their content. It’s the same when it comes to smoothies. Usually, they are filled with high calories and sweeteners. So we have to make sure that we choose the right stores. It would also be better if you would just make your own smoothie and choose healthy ingredients.

Checking the labels would help a lot. But if you want to make sure that you’re consuming healthy food, you might want to consider making your own.

Who doesn’t love sushi? If this is just a food that won’t make you fat then I would definitely eat it every day. Although it’s good food for a balanced diet, there also types of sushi that have a high content of fat because of the sauces and the coating of the tempura.

Granola is actually nutritious. But if you’re trying to lose weight, we suggest you remove it from your list of food to eat. According to The Healthy, a half-cup of granola already contains 200 to 300 calories. What more if you would put some yogurt or fruit, right?

When we hear that a food is sugar-free, we tend to consume many of it because we think that it won’t affect our weight or health. But being sugar-free doesn’t mean that it has no calories or fat. Just like sugar-free candies.
