The car wreck certainly didn't affect her sense of humor.

Before you try a beauty product, you want to know how it works.

Makeup is expensive, and the last thing you want to do is waste money on a product that doesn’t stay on for long or that doesn’t show up. So, what’s the best way to find out if a product works before you buy it? Read the online reviews, of course.

You can find reviews that are several pages long and some that get straight to the point.

Some reviews go completely off track and make you forget about the product. One woman recently reviewed a product called Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner.

She had the perfect story to share in her review. While it is a little bizarre, she felt it was a great way to show how good the eyeliner is and how long it stays on. She shared photos of herself with the makeup on her face. She wrote:

“This product is truly amazing. On June 28th I was pulled over in my car calling for roadside assistance when a distracted driver hit me going 55mph. I was taken via ambulance to the ER where I remained for 8 hours. My mascara was running down my face from crying and all other products had been wiped off in the transfer to the hospital. But not my tattoo eyeliner.”

While her post was harmless, not everyone thought it was a good review.

In fact, they felt like it was a little bit ridiculous. Instead of worrying about her eyeliner, people thought she should have been more worried about her injuries. It wasn’t long before her review was shared on social media and went viral. Everyone wanted to know who was behind the review.

The reviewer wasn’t shy about it. Her name is Shelby, and she happens to love makeup. She knows a thing or two about it, and she felt that the review was a pretty good one. Shelby eventually saw her review floating around on social media. She decided to come out and claim it on Twitter.

If you take a quick glance at Shelby’s photos, you can tell she is way into makeup.

She likes to experiment with different products and looks, and she is always taking selfies and showing off her makeup online. Shelby isn’t just another pretty face, though. She is also a first responder and an emergency room nurse.

She also had a few things to say to all the people who were hating on her review.

She posted on Twitter:

“Everyone’s hating on my review because I posted a picture of the makeup after the accident: 1. I took the photo for police evidence 2. But have you ever seen such a good eyeliner?! ….you’re welcome”

According to the Kat Von D Website,

“Nothin’ makes whipping out a killer Kat Eye easier than award-winning Tattoo Liner. The innovative brush tip glides across lids in silky, smooth strokes for effortless, precise application. Plus, it’s loaded with a highly pigmented, 24-hour wear formula for bulletproof lines every time.”

Thanks to Shelby, we now know that it will withstand a car accident.

It allows wearers to look their best whether they are enjoying a night out on the town or a night in a hospital bed. It can even hold up to tears and IVs. If you want an eyeliner that holds up to real life problems, this is definitely it.

Shelby is still wearing her favorite eyeliner and sharing her selfies online. She also has a bunch of new followers thanks to her review and all the people who shared it.
