From Tom Cruise who married Katie Holmes to Richard Gere who, at the age of 70 became a father again with his younger wife, it is not uncommon for men to date and marry younger women. However, this is not the case for women.
There seems to be a taboo when it comes to women dating or even marrying younger men, but many Hollywood stars have proved they couldn’t care less about what others have to say as long as they have a good time with their partners.
From Shakira to Miranda Kerr to Priyanka Chopra, many stars have ignored criticism about their relationships and have built beautiful families with their significant others.
It is great to see women-next-door following the example that Hollywood stars have set when it comes to something so important and positive as love.
68-year-old Donna and her partner have been together for more than a decade and they have a great time together.
The fact that he is 24 years younger than her really plays no role in their everyday life nor does it affect their relationship in any way.
In fact, he loves her so much he has even created a holiday dedicated to her.
“For eleven years now, my husband and I have been celebrating a holiday that he created for me called […] Reasons I Love You. This came about in 2009 when […] I had a lot of unrelated health issues one thing after another, and I just kept saying ‘I just wanna be able to look back in 2009 and say that was the year I was sick‘”.
So, the lovely couple have a wonderful relationship, but still Donna feels she needs something more in her life.
What is that? She just wants the outside to match the inside in the sense that she feels much younger than her age says she should.
“I’m 68; I don’t feel my age,” she says. “I just feel young.”
And indeed, she has that sparkle in her eyes that makes her look so much younger.
However, she could not bring out her young self on her own. She needed some extra help and, who would be better to help her than the Makeover Guy?
Donna decided to ask Christopher Hopkins to give her a makeover. She even brought a treat for him on the big day!
“Donna is a big fan. She even brought my favorite cologne and a lovely charcuterie board and salted chocolates as a host gift. That’s how you know someone has been following along! ” Hopkins wrote about her.
And he delivered.
After the makeover, Donna looks at least ten years younger.
Her hair is not bland anymore, but it has something interesting about it. The color is somewhat lighter, which her husband definitely likes. The hairstyle is also beautiful and it suits her perfectly.
The make-up is on fleek, too, and it totally brings out her inner beauty.
“With thin/fine hair that has a natural wave, but falls flat, I showed Donna how to use pin curls to give body to her hair,” Hopkins commented. “Kayla brought out her deep-set eyes with light and made her lips fuller.”
Her husband, who likes blonde women, was excited about her new look. So much so that he was afraid to touch her, as he said, because she looked like a work of art.
